Another successful year at SMM, Hamburg

After being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID restrictions, SMM, the world leading trade fair for maritime industry, returned in 2022 on its 30th anniversary. There were 2,000 exhibitors and 30,000 people in attendance from more than 100 countries.

“The exhibition was very international in feel and overall, the atmosphere was ‘normal’ and people seemed pleased to have the opportunity to meet face-to-face again after such a long period of reduced contact” said Paul Smailes, Sales and Marketing Director, Vickers Oils.

SMM is an important event for Vickers Oils to build the network, strengthen relationships and exchange industry knowledge. To support the Vickers Oils team during the exhibition, several Vickers Oils agents attended the stand including Talos(Greece), Jopca(Singapore), Equimer(France), Eco-Melita(Italy), TMS(Germany) and Lubtec OÜ(Estonia) and VROOAM(Netherlands, inland waterways distributor).

Once again, Vickers Oils occupied an excellent position at the event, in the UK Pavilion, which helped with footfall and visibility. The openness and modernisation of the stand proved beneficial, providing an open and inviting space for visitors to approach.

A special thank you to all who visited our stand and to the team and agents for supporting us and once again making the exhibition a success.
