Success at the Dance World Cup Finals

Last year, Vickers Oils were proud to sponsor Team England fly the flag for Yorkshire in the Dance World Cup Finals which were due to be held mid-2020 and are the world’s biggest dance competition. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions these were delayed until this summer and combined with the planned 2021 competition.

The group of students from the ElliTe Studios, a dance school in Wakefield, performed beyond expectations.  School Principal, Sam Bell, said “We had an incredibly successful time at the Dance World Cup 2020 and 2021 Finals in August this year. Our fantastic team of 30 dancers performed with outstanding skill and artistry, achieving a total of 21 medal placings – 6 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze, plus 2 outstanding awards. We were honoured to represent our national team on such a global scale and were especially proud when Team England went on to win the World Cup for both the 2020 and 2021 events.

None of this would have been possible without generous sponsorship. What an amazing experience for all our dancers – one which puts dance in Yorkshire firmly on the map and has created life-long memories for all of our participants. “

As a family-owned business trading in Leeds, West Yorkshire since 1828, Vickers Oils takes pride in being associated with such events and supporting the community whilst encouraging local talent.

Vickers Oils are a private, independent company now led by the 5th and 6th generation of the family, enjoying a worldwide reputation as a reliable and innovative supplier of high performance, speciality lubricants to Marine, Textile and Food Grade sectors.
