Vickers Oils enjoyed another successful Febratex 2018 Textile Exhibition, which took place from 21-24 August in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Said to be the biggest textile machinery exhibition in Latin America, Febratex attracted very strong visitor numbers for its 16th biannual event.
Vickers Oils shared a stand with partners Mickfel and Agricopel, with displays focusing on the needle oil range for knitting machines, which have been formulated not only to meet the exacting requirements of today’s knitting machine technology, but also to be fully compatible with yarns and also the finishing routes to which the knitted fabric is subjected. Approved by many OEMs, Vickers SPOTLESS range of needle oils contribute to the efficient running of the machinery and to the maximisation of needle, sinker and cam life.
Ian Jameson, Area Sales Manager for Vickers Oils, noted that “the halls were always full, with our stand constantly busy. Most of the main knitting machinery OEMs were present and good contacts made with several. It is certainly the busiest Febratex I have been to”. Felicity Partington of Mickfel, Brazil agent for Vickers commented that “Febratex 2018 was a great success, with a broad range of visitors to our stand. We were able to meet old friends as well as new contacts and together with Agricopel we look forward to pushing on in the coming months, using this exhibition as a springboard to expand Vickers business in Brazil”.
The textile industry is one of the highest employers in Brazil and has created over 30,000 companies, making it currently worth over £46 billion. The circular knitting sector continues to expand and invest, making it one of the most important and vibrant parts of textiles in Brazil.
