Leeds City College School of Engineering students visit Vickers Oils as part of the Leeds manufacturing festival

Last week we had a visit from the students at Leeds City College studying in the school of engineering. The visit was part of an exciting initiative ran by the Leeds Manufacturing festival.

The Leeds manufacturing festival focuses on connecting young people to the manufacturers of Leeds. It aims to raise awareness to the range and depth of opportunities that careers in manufacturing present for young people in the region.

Our team took the students on a tour of our facility, focusing on manufacturing.

For many of the students, the visit was their first experience of a commercial environment! They showed a keen interest in what Vickers Oils had to offer and asked questions to help them learn and understand more about manufacturing of lubricants.

The students left with more knowledge about Vickers Oils and a goodie bag!
