“People matter” at the heart of our business

At Vickers we believe in the importance of the individual and wish to treat not only each employee, but each person who has any dealings with our Company, as a person of individual worth.

We have a long-standing policy that each employee will be fully trained to perform their duties to the best of their ability; and that each one will be encouraged to develop their potential.

We also lay particular emphasis on the health and safety of all our employees and all others connected with our firm. We have well documented Health & Safety procedures which all employees are required to observe and such procedures also embrace our commitment to cleanliness and tidiness at work.

We have the highest regard for environmental matters and have taken, and will continue to take, steps to minimise the impact on the environment of our production processes and of our products in use by customers. These steps include meeting the requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard to which we were accredited in 1998.

We greatly value working with our colleagues to meet our goals. We set targets and plan how to achieve them, encouraging all our staff to discuss ideas, information, and issues honestly, openly, and freely.

Effective communication is crucial to proper teamwork and open communications are strongly encouraged. Our Directors, including the Chairman & Managing Director and all Managers have an “open door” policy.
