Food Grade Product Spotlight – VICKERLUBE FG HLW GREASE 2

Today’s Food and Beverage production market is booming more than ever. According to gov.uk in 2023, food manufacturing increased by 3.2% in 2021 when compared with 2020. With increased production comes increased machine usage. Therefore, choosing the correct food grade grease or lubricant to suit the wide variety of machines in any food or beverage production facility is crucial for the smooth running of the factory.

One area of concern for most maintenance managers and engineers is bearings in high-load applications that undergo regular water washdown. Finding a lubricant or grease that can help bearings withstand in high-load applications without simply washing away at the end of the day can be tricky.

The Calcium Sulfonate Complex Thickener in VICKERLUBE FG HLW GREASE 2 provides extremely adhesive properties helping it stick to key areas that are subject to regular water washdown. This saves machine downtime and maintenance costs due to less frequent reapplication, thereby increasing equipment life.

VICKERLUBE FG HLW GREASE 2 is a premium food grade grease which has a 4-ball Weld Load of 700kg. Most competing products have a 4-ball Weld Load result of around 315kg meaning that VICKERLUBE HLW GREASE 2 has over twice the load carrying abilities. This illustrates the high load carrying properties of the grease and explains its supreme corrosion protection properties.

Along with various properties, when choosing a lubricant in the food and beverage production industry, a number of certifications are also of utmost importance. VICKERLUBE HLW GREASE 2 is:

  • H1 registered for incidental food contact
  • Halal certified
  • Kosher certified
  • Manufactured to ISO 9001;2015 and ISO 21469 standards
